Bala Vikasa Foundation, in partnership with the International Association for Religious Freedom and United Religions Initiative, warmly invites faith leaders, community members, young people, and all who care about peace to join this Peace Walk in Visakhapatnam.
The walk begins at YMCA Beach and proceeds to the Submarine Museum. After the rally, participants are invited to continue with the Peace Pledge at Youth Hostel, Beach Road, Visakhapatnam.
The gathering is a simple public expression of peace, mutual respect, and interfaith harmony. All are welcome.
Dr. Pragnan Kumar is an active member of the International Association for Religious Freedom (IARF) and a committed peace practitioner working at the grassroots level in India. He is also an active member of the Bala Vikas Foundation for Peace and Harmony, contributing to initiatives that promote interfaith understanding, social harmony, and non-violence.
He is the Founder and Head of Swanthana, a civil society organization working on Climate Change, Gender Equality, Mental Health, and Peace Building. Swanthana’s core objective aligns strongly with the values of IARF—promoting human dignity, freedom of belief, social justice, and peaceful coexistence. Through community-based interventions, advocacy, and capacity-building programs, the organization addresses structural inequalities while nurturing dialogue, empathy, and resilience among marginalized communities.
As an active member of IARF, Dr. Pragnan Kumar works closely with a team of like-minded professionals, educators, and youth leaders to conduct peace-building programs at the community level, with a special focus on youth engagement. These programs emphasize the shared ethical values across religions, constitutional principles, human rights, gender justice, and environmental responsibility, fostering a culture of peace and mutual respect.
