Operations Coordinator

Seeking a well-organized individual for a leadership role ensuring smooth EC functioning and supporting strategic initiatives via administrative oversight and coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize/coordinate EC meetings & documentation
- Monitor implementation of decisions, plans, deadlines
- Collaborate closely with Executive Secretary via weekly check-ins
- Ensure adherence to established priorities & timelines
- Facilitate communication between EC, Council, WGs
- Contribute to overall EC leadership & decision-making
Required Qualifications
- Excellent organizational & time management skills
- Strong admin abilities, attention to detail
- Proficient with online collaboration/video tools
- Excellent English communication (written/verbal)

Role Summary & Potential Contributions
Collaborate on developing our online platform. Contribute based on your strengths in areas like:
- Contributor Connection: Identify/contact potential instructors, experts, library donors. Build relationships & provide support.
- Course Creation Assistance: Support instructors with structure, formatting, uploading materials (text, video, quizzes), crafting activities.
- Educational Collaboration: Research/contact potential partner institutions (universities, theological schools, interfaith centres).

We are looking for creative volunteers to manage and grow IARF's social media presence. You'll play a key role in broadcasting our message, promoting initiatives like the Free Religion Institute, and driving engagement with our global community.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, schedule, and publish engaging posts across IARF's core social media platforms (Facebook, X/Twitter, potentially YouTube/others).
- Source or create relevant content (text, links, potentially simple visuals) aligned with IARF's communication strategy and voice.
- Promote IARF news, events (webinars, Congress), statements, and Free Religion Institute offerings.
- Monitor channels for comments/questions, directing users to the website or Community Platform for deeper engagement where appropriate.
- Collaborate with the C&P Working Group and liaise with the Executive Secretary.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience managing or creating content for social media platforms (Facebook, X/Twitter essential).
- Excellent written communication skills in English, with an ability to adapt tone for social media.

About the Role
This vital role focuses on building bridges between IARF central communications and our diverse Member Organisations and Chapters worldwide. You will facilitate a two-way flow of information, ensuring members are informed and their stories are heard.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, build relationships with, and maintain a directory of editorial contacts within Member Organisations and Chapters.
- Proactively share IARF news, Institute updates, advocacy alerts, and other relevant content with member contacts for republication in their newsletters, websites, etc.
- Actively solicit news, stories, event information, and perspectives from Member Groups/Chapters to feature on IARF's website, newsletter, and social media.
- Encourage members to utilize the Community Platform for sharing information and collaboration.
- Collaborate closely with the C&P Working Group to align member outreach with the overall content strategy.
Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal in English).
- Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail for managing contacts.
- Proactive and comfortable initiating contact and building relationships remotely.

To better serve our diverse global membership and reach wider audiences, we need assistance ensuring the accuracy and quality of our communications in multiple languages. This role involves reviewing translated content to ensure it is fluent, accurate, and culturally appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and proofread translated materials (potentially including content translated by AI tools) for accuracy, grammar, style, and fluency.
- Ensure translations faithfully convey the meaning and tone of the original English text.
- Provide feedback on cultural appropriateness or potential misunderstandings.
- Content types may include: website pages, news articles, Free Religion Institute course materials, promotional texts, statements.
Skills and Qualifications
- Native or C1/C2 (fluent) proficiency in one or more of the target languages (Japanese, Hungarian, Hindi, Dutch, French, German, or others relevant to IARF members).
- Excellent command of English to understand source materials accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to meet agreed-upon deadlines for review tasks.
- Reliable access to internet and basic computer literacy.
- Interest in IARF's mission and interfaith/intercultural communication.
- Previous translation or proofreading experience is helpful but not essential if language skills are strong.

About the Role
Support IARF's digital infrastructure and innovation. We need volunteers with technical skills to assist with maintaining and enhancing our various online platforms and developing new tools to support our mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with front-end/back-end development and refinement of IARF websites (WordPress).
- Contribute to the maintenance or development of features for the Community Platform (BuddyPress).
- Support the E-learning platform (TutorLMS) used by the Free Religion Institute.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of custom projects, such as the Institute's library system.
- Potentially contribute to Python-based projects involving Large Language Models (LLMs) for tasks like translation tools or news aggregation.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and propose solutions.
- Collaborate with the Executive Secretary and relevant working groups.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in one or more of the following: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP.
- Experience with WordPress development (theming, plugins) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with BuddyPress and/or TutorLMS is a strong asset.
- Interest or experience in Python, particularly for data processing or interacting with LLM APIs, is valuable for specific projects.
- Understanding of web hosting environments and basic database concepts (MySQL) is helpful.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
