The second volume of John Weiss’s biography follows Theodore Parker’s literary work, antislavery activity, correspondence, final European journey and last illness. Its account of his stay at Combe-Varin records his friendship and religious conversations with the German Catholic reformer Hans Lorenz Küchler.
