Description
This issue of the IARF's newsletter commemorates the centenary of the International Association for Religious Freedom (1900-2000). It features reports on centennial celebrations held in Bangalore, India; at Hotaka Shrine in Japan; and at the Klingberg Youth and Education Centre in Germany. A centerpiece of the issue is a historical retrospective by Rev. Robert Traer titled 'The IARF At 100: Looking Back and Ahead,' which traces the organization's development from its 1900 founding in Boston through the 20th century. Additional content includes the results of a membership strategic planning questionnaire, reports on young adult participation, and reflections on the Millennium World Peace Summit of Religious and Spiritual Leaders held at the United Nations.
