Rev. Maruta's Course on Buddhism and the Middle Path: Impermanence, A Gateway to Freedom

The Buddhist concept of impermanence is the ultimate reality of all things, encompassing both the invisible and visible, the mental and physical, the individual and collective, the living and non-living, the microcosmic and macrocosmic, and so on. Typically, impermanence is regarded as the law of change. However, the impermanence that the Buddha observed is far different from the changes that we ordinary people understand. When the true meaning of impermanence becomes realized, freedom and calmness of mind manifest in our daily lives.
