A Sikh Perspective on Religious Freedom

To mark Interfaith Week, the British Chapter of IARF presents an online talk with Charanjit Singh on the supreme sacrifice of the ninth Sikh Guru, Tegh Bahadur, to protect the religious freedom of others.

The talk will explore the historical context and the lessons we can learn today regarding human rights and religious freedom for all.

Join Our Study Tour to Japan in 2026

The IARF study tour to Japan (see our newsletter of June 2025) is in an advanced stage of preparation. The tour, to study Japan's religious and spiritual traditions and meet with IARF's Japanese members, will take place on 5-19 May 2026, and include visits to groups and sites in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima, Tsubaki and Koyasan, among others. We'll experience spiritual rituals, visit shrines, meet our Japanese sisters and brothers, and enjoy nature.

The tour is not only interesting for those following the courses of IARF's Free Religious Institute, but for everybody open to be enriched by traditions represented in IARF. If you would like to join the tour or have questions on practical arrangements, please send an email to [email protected].
